Live Music

2015 Mad Hackers STEAM Fair will feature music by Union Rail, a Danbury band who blend a mix of old time American Music with their own mix of good time sing-alongs.

They will be performing outside on the Library Plaza at 12:30pm

If your musical tastes are more electronic and experimental…..

Burnkit 2600 will also be performing all day upstairs in the Library’s Junior Department.

We’ll have a live broadcast from I-95 on the morning of June 7th, and then we have three bands playing during the afternoon on the CityCenter Danbury Green band shell. The music on the green is free, so come down and enjoy the concert and our mini food truck rally!

Sonic Play – Electronic music with live drums will play from 12-1pm.
Drummer LP mixes live beats with ultra-groovy techno & minimal tracks.

The Charm City Exiles Return! The Charm City Exiles will rock the CityCenter band shell from 1pm – 2pm and feature rock music with a twist of Americana. They were awesome last year so we brought them back for an encore performance. Sean will be playing a double-neck guitar and bass he built himself at CT Hackerspace.

Liviu Pop Invitational Group (Blues & Soul) will play from 2:30 – 4:30.

Besides playing with numerous national & international blues/soul/jazz artists (Hubert Sumlin, Lucky Peterson, Sam Lay, Debbie Davies, just to name a few), seasoned drummer Liviu Pop also leads his own invitational group which features some of the best local and national artists he has been collaborating with. For this event, joining him on stage, is national blues artist Chris Tofield (Las Vegas, NV) considered one of the most soulful guitarist and singer in the national blues scene and bassist extraordinaire David Stoltz (Dickey Betts, Eddie Henderson, Grayson Hugh).
